Who We Are
Hello! Our mission is to provide support for children at risk at the local and international levels with fresh food and supportive care.
Locally, we get together to cook fresh and nutritious meals, and we deliver them monthly to families at Seamark Ranch in North Florida.
We also provide international support by selling made-from-scratch baked goods where 100% of the proceeds benefit the girls of CURE Foundation in Cebu, Philippines.
CURE Foundation provides food, shelter, education and medical care for survivors of child exploitation through its flagship aftercare shelter, Rancho ni Cristo. It is a U.S. Peace Corps work site. The girls receive housing, medical care and education that nurtures their minds, hearts and spirits including the arts, music and sports. They are given the opportunity to complete a high school education.
Seamark Ranch helps children from families in crisis by giving them the tools they need for a brighter future. Through a family home model, a specialized residential school and the lessons of life on a working farm community, the children are given an ideal setting for love, stabilization, healing, education and empowerment.
Our Story
CURE&CARE started with a lemonade stand and selling cookies in 2022. Vai and Jolie had a love of baking and a heart to help. They had visited CURE Foundation in Cebu in years prior and wanted to do something on their own to send support. They donated all their proceeds to CURE Foundation to help girls who survived child exploitation.
In 2023, they committed to doing regular bake sales and giving 100% of the proceeds to help the girls’ shelter at CURE Foundation. These efforts grew with friends and classmates joining their cause.
Between 2024 and 2025, their bake sales raised enough to help pay for art supplies, meals, and changing rooms for the girls’ shelter.
In 2024, they also saw a local need in foster homes for meal preparation. They volunteered to start cooking healthy and delicious meals for families at Seamark Ranch in North Florida. These efforts still continue today.
The group has grown organically and in 2025, it became recognized as a formal club at their high school.
In 2026, the club has expanded into a second chapter, becoming a multi-school organization.
In their own small way, with the help of the community, they hope to make a lasting impact in the lives of children locally and internationally.
